Job Description


We are hiring an HSEQ Executive for a leading Shipping Company. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maritime professionals to support Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) functions, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards and promoting operational excellence across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems
  • Conduct vessel inspections, internal audits, and safety assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Assist in vetting inspections and ensure vessels are prepared for external audits and inspections
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor compliance with IMO, Flag State, Port State, ISM Code, and other applicable maritime regulations
  • Prepare HSEQ reports, safety alerts, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with vessel crews, Marine Superintendents, and shore-based teams on HSEQ matters
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Marine Superintendent or Mariner (Second Officer / Third Officer) with relevant sailing experience
  • Strong background in Vetting Inspections, HSEQ, and Maritime Regulatory Compliance
  • Good understanding of ISM Code, ISPS Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other international maritime regulations
  • Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with vessel crews and cross-functional teams
